Urban Farming Initiative Newsletter #7: Get Involved This March – Volunteer & Learn with Us!

Sow the Seeds of Change – Volunteer with Us This March.

Dear Urban Farming Initiative Community,

/

Spring is just around the corner, and we’re eager to get our hands in the dirt and connect with our community. Whether you’re looking to volunteer, learn, or just spend time with others who care about food and wellness, we have plenty of opportunities for you this March.

Throughout March, we will take steady steps each week to prepare our garden space, ensuring it thrives in the months ahead. Our garden coordinators are thrilled to have both creative freedom and the invaluable support and feedback from our community. Together, we will design a garden that not only provides fresh, nutritious food but also serves as a resource for learning and connection.

March Herbal Events

We are especially grateful to garden expert Meghan Henshaw, founder of Ocotillo Herbals, for her ongoing dedication to the Urban Farming Initiative and Walnut Hills Gardens. With her deep knowledge of herbalism and her history with these gardens, she will guide us in using homegrown herbs to create nourishing teas and explore the benefits of herbal remedies.

None of this would be possible without the incredible support of the Walnut Hills and Cincinnati communities. Your involvement, enthusiasm, and commitment make these efforts meaningful and impactful. Thank you for showing up, lending a hand, and helping us cultivate a space that nourishes both body and spirit.
